Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, polymer medium, acrylics, stained tissue paper, painted drawing paper, polymer resist magazines pages with Nevr Dull, deli papers painted and printed, graphite pencil acrylic glazing medium sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.

Meaning behind the art: Every time I get a bit goofy or some distorted thinking I should know this about myself�.and that is it�s time for a walk in the woods. It�s a form of meditative medicine or healing that helps me center and find my personal rhythm with life. The edge of change is upon us, the acorns are dropping and the chipmunks can store them fast enough. The cottonwoods are dropping their leaves�they seem to be the first to do that. This time in my walk though I pick up some of those leaves and found a nice spot to begin a mandala on the path. So each time I went around I added a new row of different leaves. Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfather�s farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. She�s continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups.
