Oh man John, this is a superb example of "creepy" and then some. The dude looks like he`s nuttier `n a fruit cake. I believe he could be in some old time insane asylum and it`s a good idea to keep his nasty ass in shackles. The guy is scary looking. Of course my man you win the biggest gold medal in the world...P.S....a little soap and water wouldn`t hurt this guy.....very, very well done...L.V

John Foss replied:

Thanks for the gold buddy! And the awesome comment! Nuttier 'n fruit cake, haha! You got that right! I'm sure he's nuttier 'n a bucket of squirrel poop! I believe he SHOULD be in some insane asylum! Perhaps the skin suit he's wearing was once the skin of a night watchman of some asylum he recently broke out of?......yeah he's a stone cold nasty ass sociopath! Thanks for the great comment Dave. :)

Creepy as hell... I freakin LOVE IT.

John Foss replied:

Thank you John! So happy its creepy factor can be reaffirmed by others. Especially rad-at-their-craft artists such as yourself!

I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Artist's Description

This is my version of a creepy black and white photo I came across on ebaumsworld.com in an image gallery titled "vintage creepy photos from the past" the photo struck me, and gave me so many questions. Was the crazy looking person in what looks to be a skin suit a crazed killer? Was he the captive by-product of a deranged killer? I don't know...but I used the black and white photo as reference and made it my own with a few tweaks and changes. It was pretty fun to draw and people seem to hate it because it's so creepy, so that's pretty cool :) Mixed media, used colored pencil, gel pens, colored markers, acrylic paint, black ink, domesticated cat hair, and permanent marker.

John F's Bio bullet points: - Born in Oslo, Norway during the summer of 84' - Due to undisclosed circumstances, John was raised by a clan of Trolls within the deep dark forests surrounding Rade, Norway. - As a child, John made jewelry out of seashells, twigs, pebbles and leaves. His trinkets proved to be very popular among his Troll clan companions. - One day, during John's early teen years....a high ranking Troll clan member, "Gunnar" told John about his great-great cousin and ancient Troll leader,- "Steinar". - John learned Steinar was forever immortalized in stone, under a bridge in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, WA....(at the end of Troll street). - When he learned Seattle was a Troll friendly city, (and most likely...
