Daniel, this is endlessly fascinating to me ... first the image itself just pulls me right in ... the action .. the story that's being told ... but then the layers of technical work just blow my mind ... not a clue how this is done, and I guess, like the magician's illusions, it's better that way!! Regardless ... a big WOW from me!!!! f/v

Artist's Description

"Clash of The Ice Age Beasts" Two of the most fearsome creatures of ice age Europe are having it out. A rogue male cave lion (panthera leo spelaea) has wandered too close to a grazing woolly rhino (coelodonta antiquitatis). Much like what happens when the modern rhinoceros and lion cross paths, a confrontation occurs. About Daniel Eskridge

Daniel Eskridge

I am a forty-something living in the Metro-Atlanta area -- one of the few people who was actually born and raised here. I'm married and have two sons. By day, I am a senior software engineer. But, by night I am a 3D render artist. I have dual degrees from the University of Georgia, one in Computer Science, the other in Fine Art. So, it seems only natural that I attempt to combine the two by producing art using a computer. Plus, I find that it's a bit more practical than painting as it doesn't require all of the clean up, harsh chemicals, or expensive supplies. In fact, I have been a render artist since some of the first ray-tracing programs were made publicly available in the mid 80's. To follow me on facebook CLICK HERE. Check...
