I was born in Savannah, GA. After obtaining a degree in journalism and social work, I returned to my first love, art. I began painting realism, mostly wildlife. Recently, I’ve been experimenting with more impressionistic portraits. The goal now is to develop my style. My preferred medium is acrylics for developing forms and tones on canvas. Then the real fun begins with the oils that allow me to enrich my canvas with color and glazing. My father was an Air Force pilot and from him I learned to soar. I remember the look he had while flying – pure freedom – the same feeling I get while painting. My mother was a Mary Kay Director who taught me how to look for the inner strength and make it shine.
