I was born in Boston, Massachusetts of artist parents. I was educated in Boston schools, majoring in art in High School. I attended the Massachusetts College of Art, receiving a BFA in Illustration and Design in 1955. Twenty years after graduating and raising her four children, I returned to MassArt and entered into one of their first programs for a Masters Degree. I graduated in 1975 with a Masters degree in Art Education and went on to teach art in the Andover, Massachusetts Public Schools for 23 years. I retired in 1998. After retiring, I moved to Acton, Maine with my husband and returned to painting. I am a member of the Sanford/Springvale Art Association of Sanford, ME . I am currently the Vice President of that association.
My work is primarily in watercolor, although I occasionally work in oil, pastel, pencil, pen and ink and mixed media. I do portraits, people in action, landscapes, seascapes and abstracts.
