Astral of Dreamlight Creations is a self-taught artist From Michigan, that has had her artwork displayed across the world wide web for several years now. The ultra vivd colors in her work and her surreal style has delighted art enthusiasts everywhere. A digital artist & graphic designer Astral often is described as a visionary artist, her positively charged works envoke emotion through light, form and color, and convey the pure expression that she experiences during the creation process. Astral has been involved in one artistic project or another her whole life but it wasn't until her work met a PC that she began to express it fully.
Delving into the vast world of computer based graphics nine years ago, Astral learned to illustrate her inner visions through countless hours of work and determination. The art programs that she predominantly uses are Bryce 5, Poser 5, View D' Espirit 4 & Corel Photo Paint 11. Bryce 5 is a 3D landscaping, modeling, animation and rendering software. Poser 5 is a 3D character animation and figure design tool. View d'Espirit 4 is a 3D studio that renders and animates ultra realistic scenery. Corel Photo Paint 11 is an image creation and photo imaging software. The past nine years of Astral's artistic career has consisted mainly of a digital medium, 'The incredibly rich color palettes, the infinate canvases and the warm seductive lighting that is possible with digital painting and modeling provides me with an artistic freedom that I find intoxicating' says Astral.
Astral's imagery is pure fantasy, depictions of the many images that drift through her mind, her vivid creations are often inspired by her dreams and a fascination with the subconcious and are meant to lead each individual on thier own internal journey. Along with her surreal fantasy works she also enjoys creating modern abstracts with a contemporary style, and interseting 3 dimensional pieces that have a futuristic feel to them. Astrals whimsical imagination and her uncanny ability to portray the eternal beauty that she sees in her minds eye is captured in her vibrant works. Among her many digital pieces Astral also creates sketches, acrylic paintings, and glass jewelry.
