I am an historian and a writer who loves the outdoors. Periodically dabbling in photography since high school, in 2005 I purchased my first DSLR and finally began spending some time attending to the photography 'bug' within me. I specialize in nature and landscape photography, and Yellowstone National Park, Utah's national parks, Montana, and Jekyll Island (off the coast of Georgia) are among my favorite shooting locations. In 1997 I created Yellowstone Net (www.yellowstone.net) as on outlet of sorts of my enthusiasm for the Grand Old Park, and today many Yellowstone photographers gather online in the site's discussion forums. Some of my Jekyll Island work is online at www.jekyllisland.ws, and much more of my photography (which now spans coast to coast and includes England) is available online at www.brucegourley.com. I shoot with Nikon cameras.
