David G Paul

Although David first realized his passion for art while attending art classes in high school, he would not actually start painting until over 10 years later in 1987. David is primarily a self-taught artist who started out painting with oils and has remained an avid oil painter ever since.

David's subject matter includes landscapes, figurative, and some still life. David and his wife Christine have lived in Texas, Colorado and Alaska, giving him a vast variety in landscape subjects to choose from. His impressionistic landscapes capture the mood and vibrant colors of the seasons. His figurative work includes garden scenes, and portraits of the art of dance and music.

David is an accomplished studio artist painting mostly from photographs that he has taken or just from his own memory and imagination. His painting technique includes both brush and palette knife work. A lot of his most recent works are created solely with a palette knife giving his work more depth and texture.

David also loves to create colorful digital artwork. David's favorite subjects for his digital work is peace signs and crosses.

David has been painting and selling his art for 20 years now via galleries and online sales. His work is in private collections throughout the United States.
