Donna Pidlubny - Fine Artist
I've never settled in one place for long, . . . there's just too much to see and do. Often inspired by something as small as a single word or an action, the people and places I've come across have a way of working their way into my paintings. Each painting has a story and in some cases, the story is the texture that binds the painting.
I've studied at several universities with some very prominent artists. My studies include fine art, commercial art, graphic design and illustration. Currently I'm working as a designer in Calgary, as well as an illustrator with a global reach. I accept assignment work for editorial, advertising, design, cover art and marketing. I made the transition from traditional to digital illustration a few years ago and have never looked back. Working digitally allows me to explore new ways of handling textural elements and patterns. I paint with Adobe Illustrator and convert to a Photoshop document before I send it off digitally to be published. As a seasoned professional with a strong background in direction, design and production it means the illustrations are ready to go to press the moment they arrive.
