About John L Perdue

My first camera was a Nikon F, purchased in 1970. F 1.4 lens, 35mm. Within a few years I had completed 'schools' from New York Institute of Photography and School of Modern Photography. Built a darkroom. Got all the stuff. Got thru college by doing portraits, baby pics, pet pics, brochures, slides, etc. Dodge and burn in the darkroom, retouch with dyes and fine brushes. Attended art classes at several JC's as well as photography. Love the stuff. I use both Nikon and Sony equipment now. The big camera is 25 MP and will print easily to 36 inches with full detail. Most of my work here was done from that camera.

Thru several careers, photography was always a hobby. Upon retirement I went digital - in 2006. I use a super Mac, CS6, Wacom tablet and just do what I want to do, artistic photography - as I see it. The images here are, I consider, some of my best work. Each of the florals required hours and hours of work. Most of the landscapes are composites of several images. I use multiple plug ins to create what I consider to be my artistic vision.

I would hope that you will enjoy viewing my work as much as I enjoyed creating it; and, if you like it, buy it. Thanks for your business.
