Martha has been involved in art since she was a youngster. At 12 years old, she was awarded a scholarship to the John Herron Art Museum in Indianapolis Indiana. She actually sold her first painting there for 50 cents!
After college she married and raised 6 children. During this time she dabbled in a little oil painting and was contracted to paint portraits in pastels.
Upon retiring from her profession in Computer work, she and 3 of her best friends began painting together in watercolor. Martha painted mainly mushrooms and wildlife. The group showed their work in some exhibits where Martha received ribbons and sold some of her art. The group also began a business painting murals.
After moving to Florida, Martha continued her artwork, mainly watercolors. Martha loves painting the many birds she finds in her community.
