Michelle Elizabeth Bien dove head-first at an early age into learning the most profound and complex life lessons she could find before she was persuaded to pay her way to a degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts with several quasi-minors. She has received several awards at both national and local levels for her artwork prior to and after her studies. She feels her greatest accomplishment is inspiring others, healing, teaching, spreading light and cheer and still being alive to muse about the universe's many cosmic jokes and mysteries.

Michelle is a life-long Michiganite, at least during the day, when she divides her time between her earthly duties and her partner, cat, family, and all other living things demanding her love and attention. She continues to create, write, build, grow things, and study the universe.
