Born 1953 in Sunderland Co Durham and then moved to the lake district with family 11 years later. I have been taking photographs since 1970 with many different types of camera. My photography training started in the RAF and then moved to Southport Art College. I class myself as a generalist and hope to tackle all photographic subject with a sense of professionalism.
Whilst working nowadays predominanthy with 35mm DSLR cameras I still use film on 35mm and 120 cameras as well as using compact digital and film cameras. There is no perfect camera for all jobs and to extend my range I hope to work with large format cameras in the near future. There is something magical about looking at a 5 x 4 neg or transparency that digital does not give.
I seem to spend most of my waking hours creating new images and my head at times is bursting with images either that have been created or that could possibly be created.

As we have learned from other so it is our responsibility to teach other who wish to learn.
