Artist Sharon Joy Mason had an interest in art for as long as she can remember--from drawing and coloring mountains and Saguaro cactus with crayons to designing clothes for paper dolls--She began the serious pursuit of art after taking lessons from Utah artist, Mona McGuire, and participating in Laguna Plein Air Painters Association’s mentor program. She has since studied with prominent Laguna Beach artists Michael Jacques, Cynthia Grilli, John Eagle and Jeff Horn. Her choice of subjects includes plein air landscapes, portraits and still lifes. She is committed to continued studies and growth; and most importantly, enjoying the journey.
Viewers respond to her personal eye for color and enjoy the moments of serenity her work evokes. The artist can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
