Originally from England, I moved to Reno, Nevada in 1995 and fell in love with the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Like most photographers I first became captivated with taking pictures as a child. I remember looking through National Geographic magazines in the library and being mesmerized by the stunning images that lay before me. It was during that innocent and influential age I became aware of the world around me through the camera lens.
My first love however, has always been aviation. My dream as a very small boy was to become a pilot and fly for the Royal Air Force; I subsequently accomplished that, joining my first squadron before my 20th birthday! By the time I was twenty one I had been round the world twice, had seen some breathtaking sites and met some amazing people. After 'retiring' from the RAF in 1995 I 'jumped' across the pond to the U.S. to continue my aviation career. I am still flying professionally [Boeing 737] but now have chance to mix my passion for photography with that of aviation. Todate I have flown five military and seven different civilian aircraft. I hope you can see the subtle differences in my work that comes from spending a career in aviation and truly appreciating the people and machines of today and yesteryear.
In 2011 I started the company 'Captured In Time' [CIT photography]. You will see from my portfolio that I do not limit myself to a set ‘Photographic field’ but rather diversify and apply myself over a broad spectrum. I enjoy rising to the challenge of photographing something new. My training as a professional pilot for 28 years has taught me to research and prepare thoroughly before committing to the task in hand. By diversifying and learning many different facets of photography I believe one can bring a fresh and unique approach in capturing the subject.

Finally, thank you for taking the time to view my work. I hope you get as much pleasure at looking as I did capturing the images. Steve
