I'm a Native East Tennessee left handed DNA Artist, meaning its just a family trait, Grandfather, Father, Mother, Brothers all are artist in many different Mediums. My brother David was my mentor in art and life. He taught me to search deep inside myself and find the art that is original to only me. I spent most my early years drawing the world around me ,I found that sometimes my drawings were of things that made no sense to me until years later. I'm drawn to black and white images more than color, my art is somewhat primitive in nature due to being self taught. I will go weeks without painting and wait for a wave of creativity to catch and get me going. I'm trying to convey emotion in my work, a captured feeling, a thought , I have always believed that Art is the first language of early man . When I can't find the words to express my feelings, I paint . My favorite artist is Tamara De Lempicka, but I get lost in the works of Jackson Pollock . My brother David passed away in 2010 . I am but a small link in a chain of Fleming Family Artists.
