Having retired from a long career in the defense industry, I am beginning to 're-focus' a significant part of my free time in photography. As an amateur astronomer, I have frequently watched for, and recorded, sunspot activity. Eventually, my plan is to acquire the skill and equipment to photograph these disturbances and other natural events in our night sky.
Yet, my interests over the past 40 years have ranged from sunflowers to the sun itself. Other fields of interest may include geological artifacts, unique architectual structures, both large and small, ..and a large variety of vivid floral colors coming from our back yard. In short, photography will always be an an evolving discipline for me, As you will notice I prefer not to be limited to any one genera or topic.
Photo arts can be a very humbling, often frustrating activity. So, as a determined 'newbie' I relish the challenge of capturing the natural world about us. Sincerely, it's an honor to mix with the FAA group.
