I was about 5 years old the first time my dad took me fishing, it was under a bridge on Conestoga creek near Lancaster, PA. We landed a few blue gills and Dad landed a carp that might have been 20 inches long. That was over 50 years ago and today I remain a hopeless addict to the outdoors. Mom is the artists. Genetically she gifted me with a love of creating. A life time of sketching, whittling, carving and painting has brought me to where I am today, a wilderness and wildlife artist living in Alaska.
I am a two time National Snow carving champion with multiple wood carving awards and State Chainsaw carving titles to my credit, I started painting so I could bring color to my carvings, and over time that turned into a full blown painting business.
Today I own a Gallery in Willow, Alaska, Willow Creek Studio with my wife of 30 plus years. I spend time with carving or painting as life permits. Visit us if you ever get to Willow, Alaska. We are a short ride north of Anchorage and our Log cabin gallery features the works of over 45 local artists and craftsman. Follow our daily activities at www.facebook.com/willowcreekgallery
