Enter. . .mid-life crizziz. This middle-aged girl woke up one morning and realized that she didn't want to crunch numbers, work 10-hour days and deal with irrational, disrespectful bosses anymore. She knew her life was not the creative, expressive one she yearned for. Years of accumulated art supplies lie unused in drawers, on shelves and in boxes, in the dark. Heather knew, only she had the power to change her reality. She quit her well-paying, government job. Cold turkey.
Life is for living, loving, growing and creating! The fancy papers, paints, and mediums entice her every morning to tear, pour, dribble, splatter and squeeze them into new forms. Every composition is a dance, a moment where anything can happen and does! Child-like and free is the way to be.
Heather Moore is a former multi-million dollar grant manager turned self-taught artist living and painting in her hometown, Asheville, North Carolina, with her two children and partner, Tim. Her daughter is a duck tape sculptor in the seventh grade and her son, an enlightened One with special needs in this incarnation. She is grateful to her partner, Tim who supports her dreams and doesn't scold her when she splatters paint all over the floor.
