4Art is located in the heart of the Historic Chicago Arts District. Robin Monique Rios opened the doors to her gallery in October 2003 and soon created a rare opportunity for not only artists but for art enthusiasts. Robin formed a 6 month group show that promotes a group of 12-14 artists who rotate new works every month for 6 months. This concept was developed simply to form a Connection, an Understanding and most important an Appreciation of art and for the artist who create it! And not to mention that our clients get to see an evolution of artists work. We have open receptions on the 2nd Friday of every month.
ABOUT THE ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The six-month residency is based on three goals. First, we look to foster an understanding of both the process and the work the artists create. Second, we seek to form a connection between the artists and the patrons. Third, we want to foster an appreciation for both the art work and the artists who create it.
This program was put together primarily to show an evolution of artists work. I am an artist myself and I feel strongly about helping artists become better business people for themselves, teach them how to communicate their art to others. Artists are required to attend every opening, which is the second Friday of every month 6pm-10pm.
