Maria P Urso is a 'natural' artist originally from the state of Pennsylvania. Maria began painting and sketching as a young child. Horses, dogs and wolves have always been her passion and her work involves these subjects. She has delved in the art of ceramics, creating and painting her own pieces which now reside in the homes of the people of New Mexico and Pennsylvania. She went on to further her education in the arts at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and over time developed her own techniques in creating her drawings and paintings.
Due to Maria's strong faith in God and all that He has created in this world we live in, a world in which there are never-ending discoveries and possibilities, her work is an eclectic collection ranging from paintings and drawings to photography and digital art which reflects her spirituality and belief that in all things there is light and darkness that co-exist.
Maria's paintings and sketches have been sold throughout the U.S. and are displayed in corporate offices, residences, physicians and veterinarian offices. Only the highest quality materials are used in all her artwork to guarantee the best quality for years to come.
All artwork displayed in this Gallery have been drawn/sketched in ink, pencil, colored pencil, graphite or charcoals. (The name PrinJa at the time of which some of the sketches were drawn was going to be used as my "alias" which was a combination of my first boxer's name who is still presently with me and whose name is Princess Jasmine "PrinJa" should anyone wonder why it is present on my sketches. She has been a constant companion at my side no matter what I am doing.. no matter what time of day it is).
