Maria P Urso is a 'natural' artist originally from the state of Pennsylvania. She resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico for almost 10 years and spent alot of time gaining knowledge about Southwestern and American Indian art. She now resides in the state of Alabama.
Maria began painting and sketching as a young child. Horses, dogs and wolves are her passion and most of her work involves these subjects. She has delved in the art of ceramics, creating and painting her own pieces which now reside in the homes of the people of New Mexico and Pennsylvania. She went on to further her education in the arts at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She has a love of nature and all animals great and small and finds beauty in some subject matter that most would overlook due to her strong faith in God and all that He has created in this world we live in, a world in which there are never-ending discoveries and possibilities. Her work is an eclectic collection ranging from paintings and drawings to photography and digital art and reflects her spirituality and belief that in all things there is light and darkness that co-exist.
Maria's paintings and sketches have been sold throughout the U.S. and are displayed in corporate offices, residences, physicians and veterinarian offices. Only the highest quality materials are used in all her artwork to guarantee the best quality for years to come.
