I make visual art images with a camera. Each of my images represents a capture of a live art performance that took place at a specific time and place. Thus I feel any development of the image file produced by the camera should not include anything that was not there at that time and place. The vast majority of my images contain strictly only the information that was present in the original image -- though in some cases I interpret that information quite differently from a standard photographic process.
Photography has been a serious hobby of mine off and on since 1956. During the last 6 or 7 years I've been learning digital techniques as well as branching into doing work with models and getting a handle on the use of available light -- that is to say, any light source that happens to be available -- sunlight, moonlight, firelight, LED toys, and even, once in a while, studio lights.
There is a fairly comprehensive bio at my Google + about page:
I am fortunate enough to have a place to live that includes a studio, workshop and some wooded acres. I use some of this to sponsor other artists whose work I admire through my gallery account here at http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/gallery-21129.html
If you desire a print with my actual signature instead of the digital one present on the prints made here, contact me with your needs.
