I am a self taught artist and have been creating art for over 25 years.
I started by studying the works of William Alexander and 'the joy of painting' doing landscapes and floral arrangements, but now my work is mostly metal abstract.
I slowed my painting down in the mid 80's to late 2001, only doing one or two a year.
That is when I had a major heart attack and my life changed. I realized that it was not a bother to paint and create it truly was a joy.
Since the heart attack I have realized just how wonderful time can be. T
he only thing better than doing art is spending time with my grown children and grand children.
Now my pieces are alive with color and texture. My works are on the larger scale, ranging in size for 16' X 20' to 48' X 80and larger.
Copper and 040 Aluminum are now the medium of choice. With the coolness of metal comes warmth. The feeling that you get in making something in metal is extreme.
Copper and 040 Aluminum are my favorites however; working with a wilder 16 gauge hurricane tie down straps have produced some wonderful pieces.
While still doing metal. I am also back on canvas. Big bold beautiful.
My art is being collected both commercial and privately by numerous collectors through out the world.
