I started painting with my Grandmother when I was just a little girl. We would china paint for hours, but I didn't really like waiting between the firing stages. All through high school I played around with all types of mediums. After college I started working in a alternative school for emotional disturbed children and found a portrait artist that asked if I wanted to take lessons. This was in 98. Well, that person was Jerrold Carton and it was the best experience I have had in exploring all the areas in painting. I paint whatever I'm feeling, and just like to have fun with it. Its such a great feeling of accomplishment and self gratification when you've finished a painting. You don't have to have the perfect image to get the pleasant feeling from creating a piece of art. I was so forchinate to have had Jerry in my life.
