My work exists in highly narrative presentations of refined graphite drawings, illustrations, and the accompanied exploration of writing and text. Many pieces contain interwoven themes of sexual identification, self-growth, placement of being, and cultural heritage. Influences range from classical and modern literature, contemporary culture, world heritage, the passion of story telling, travel, and language as a broad spectrum of interconnected symbolism. Currently my work has shifted to LGBTQ themes and the deconstruction of imagery, what is solely necessary to convey an idea and to tell a story. Graphite drawings range from small tightly rendered images (8.5”x11”) to large gestural articulations (6’x4’).
