This is me! Iím quite mad! ******* See also - Limited time promotion 100% of sale proceeds to help the children of Romania http://fineartamerica.com/weeklypromotion.html?promotionid=99652
British born and bred, living in Romania since 2001. (Not entirely my Ďowní choice, but I love it here so thatís okay & a bit of a bonus!)
Most of the time I work with orphaned, neglected or special needs children and within the community for Volunteer Romania. 100% of proceeds from any sales of my photography go towards the running of this programme, which you can find out more about here http://www.volunteerromania.co.uk
When not working, you will find me writing (wherever I am with a camera in hand) pottering in the garden, cooking up something weird & wonderful in the kitchen, or singing Ė always with Steve sometimes at karaoke (eek!), large glass of wine in one hand and that most hated of habits, a fag in the other!
The camera that I use for most of these images, sits in my pocket and is called a Nikon S6100 (apparently). I just click what I see, if I like it or it looks like fun as I walk through the world in my every day life, you might call me an opportunist photographer.
Before all of this Romania business, Construction was my thing, hard hat and rigger boots. Then I moved on to Business Change Management. in the corporate world for far too many years! Building Tesco and Sainsburyís (sorry!) The detail of which can be found on Linked In if youíre really interested. What I do now, now thatís worth knowing about and can be discovered on the website http://www.volunteerromania.eu Oh, and I am an occasional twit, tweeting @AlisonKRD
I speak Romanian & English (of course) also communicate in British Sign Language, read better than speak! I have re-trained in volunteer management, and as a first aider trainer. BSc(Hons) Psychology & Social Science (did that just for fun!!!.) Project, Programme & Business Management have been on the list for much longer.
Please feel free to comment as you will, I will always get back to you, though it may take a day or two.
I donít know which of the many photographs you have stumbled on, but there are quite a few. If you would like to see more of any in particular, please shout and they will appear.
