I was born in 1983 in England and moved to New Zealand in 1995. I graduated from Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design in 2002 with a BFA in fashion, and after a stint of travelling and living again in England for 8 years, I returned New Zealand; my happy place.

I discovered my love of painting when I was travelling through Europe. The ever changing landscape and culture evoked such a sense of wonder and magic that I needed to find a way of 'bottling' that feeling in a way that my camera couldn't.

If you love travelling, hiking, going to the beach or simply enjoy sitting in your garden on a summers day, then my paintings are for you.

I absolutely love to create art that evokes a memory. Whatever gives you the warm fuzzies, that's what I like to paint. I want you to feel a sense of nostalgia when you look at my painting. I want you to hear the birds singing in the tree, the waves lapping on the shore, or the laughter of children as they play.

Nostalgia - noun
1. a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time in one's life, to one's home or homeland, or to one's family and friends; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time:
a nostalgia for his college days. - Dictionary.com

When you find a happy memory, you look at it through rose tinted glasses. My art is created with the same vibrancy in the hope that it brings your memory to the forefront and takes you back to your happy place.
