Self-taught artist Amy Scholten is well known for vibrant, ethereal nature scenes that evoke a sense of tranquility and reflect the 'world beyond the world.'
Through her work, Amy hopes to inspire others to protect the natural world and take refuge in it, that they may return to a place of inner peace, wholeness, love, and connection to all Creation.
Amy 'dabbled' in painting as a teen and young adult, only recently deciding to seriously pursue her creative talents after being diagnosed with several visual impairments and becoming legally blind in her right eye from macular dystrophy.
Amy has degrees in nutrition and public health and has worked as a health educator, nutritionist, marketing director, health/medical writer, and adjunct college professor.
