Anderson, is a self taught artist, currently residing in Northern Colorado and has been painting for over 30 years. Shows of her Fly Fishing Art in Pastels, Watercolor and Scratchboard have been successfully held in the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain Region over the past eight years.
Anderson has only recently made the decision to be a full time artist. Currently, her primary focus has been in the ancient art of Silk Painting. Creating large silk paintings and providing instruction on silk painting, using steam set dyes, becoming a member of SPIN in 2011. The intensity of the colors as the dye takes to the silk, is unlike anything she had ever experienced. By expending tireless energy creating with these dyes and the luxury that silk provides is a meaningful days work for Anderson. Her diversity as a painter has allowed her to hone in on a style and be able to focus on the topics she loves, slivers of the old west and history and near or endangered birds often forgotten by modern urbanites.
Andersons work currently hangs in private collections, corporations, in Seattle, WA, Kent WA, and surrounding areas in Washington, Black Hills SD, New York City, NY, Livermore CO, Fort Collins, CO, and Peck ID.

' My art has become my greatest passion in life, - and has become a part of me. Every single day I paint or draw something or get mired up in the research. I get so much pleasure from being able to do the things I love everyday, and then to make someone smile because of a piece of art I have worked - or get to watch someone new to art create something for the first time and see them smile and grow, WOW, gosh that's worth it all!'
Now, coming full circle, the days are filled with art and enjoyment of the inspirational location, also, being close to the river to enjoy a little fly fishing in the new found spare time! She says, ' Living the artists life and being in a place where I can enjoy fly fishing when ever I want to. It (flyfishing) can literally change your life, it is a lifestyle unto it's own but for me fly fishing has certainly changed mine. How can you call the marriage of these two passions work? Oh what sheer pleasure to do the things you love everyday and make someone smile because of it!
Enjoy, and I hope to see you along the river of colors on my palette soon.
Anderson
