Angela Hartsog is a North Carolina native who has devoted her life to the love of the horse. She began riding as a child and has competed in a variety of disciplines, evolving into a well rounded and accomplished horsewoman. In recent years, she has focused exclusively on dressage; she is an intuitive and experienced trainer who excels at getting the most out of every animal she takes on. She loves training horses for many reasons, but especially cherishes developing the deep bond between horse and rider.
Dressage, with its inherent power, balance, strength and harmony, has become the inspiration for the horses Angela paints. She is largely self taught, and has fused her lifetime of equestrian experience with a myriad of different art styles to create her own unique artistic expression. The vibrant colors she uses come from within; they are the reflection of her horses’ individual energy and spirit.
Although she has been an artist all her life, Angela feels she is just now coming into her own. She is deeply passionate about her art, and has recently begun to be more focused on art as a career.
