Annie Dameron - Fine Artist
My name is Annie. I'm a freelance writer/artist as well as a stay-at-home-mom. I have been painting and drawing for the past 4 years. Last year, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, but I've kept painting and drawing, and will do it as long as I'm able.
I started painting in oils, then switched to acrylic and watercolor. I also love working with pencil, pen and ink and pastel. My works are inspired by so many things: people and events I see in real life, pictures in magazines, books I read, things my kids do. My style is bold and colorful, sometimes realistic, sometimes not. The painting speaks for itself. I believe in Yoda's philosophy in 'Star Wars': 'Do. Or do not. There is no try.'
I recently became a mom again for the third time (Sarah Zoe, born 10/5/08), so I haven't been doing much art lately, but now I'm back and trying out new ideas and styles...keep coming back to see new artwork!
