In younger days Gus studied drawing, sculpting and wood working at Cleveland Institute of Art. He tends towards minimalist influence in his designs.
Each wood Asian or Japanese platform bed is custom hand made, using hardwoods like Cherry, Walnut and Birch solids, and veneered 3/4' plywood. He dosen't use computer operated machines! 'I do take artistic liberties in the creation of each one to make every bed special.' Each platform bed is signed and dated.
