'Art has always been my passion. Throughout my life, I have always tried to involve myself in art.' I like to paint both plein air and in the studio. My favorite subjects include landscape, still life and figurative art. It is truly a gift to view the world as an artist. Working with dramatic light striking my subject helps to create drama. I am intrigued by focused light upon my subjects against dark backgrounds. Still life painting is what I enjoy the most because I can set up my own scene and control the lighting, the subject and the amount of time I need to spend on the painting.
I am a member of the Outdoor Painters Society, Oil Painters of America, Associated Creative Artists, American Impressionist Society, American Women Artists, and Women Artists of the West.
I have been juried into several shows of the Outdoor Painters Society including Plein Air Texas 2007, the American Impressionist Society's National Juried Exhibition, the American Splash National Competition, the Richardson Civic Art Society Juried Art Show, and the Breckenridge 16th Annual Juried Art Show.
