Barbara lives in Whitehorse, Yukon, her home since the early 1970s where she continues to produce her art and photography today. Art and her self-taught photography is a venue of personal expression for her, one that provides her solace and joy.
Barbara's trademark is painstaking detail and color application. Her themes are woven tapestries formed from her vivid imagination and life experiences. She prefers the versatile medium of colored pencil for her illustrative work and acrylics for painting. As in her illustrations, her paintings are realistic, detailed and boldly expressive. She considers her artistic talent a gift to share with others and approaches each rendering with her unique creative talents and energies.
