The end of your brush is the tip of your soul. (Andrew Hamilton)
A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What one can be, one must be......Abraham Maslow
I enjoy working in a variety of media. Acrylic and oil are among my favorites. For me painting is a way of staying in touch with my inner child... If you look closely at some of my work you may see where the inner child started finger painting again!
I incorporate bold color and deep value contrast in my paintings as I feel that the exaggerated color and contrast add to the beauty and energy of the painting.
In the early stages of a painting I may lightly sketch in a faint idea of where I want the painting to go. But just as likely I may delve right in with a bright, bold palette of color and develop the painting as I go along.
Before a painting is considered complete I feel that it should exude a certain energy, an energy that speaks to the viewer. Rather than paint the reality of the landscape, I try to expose the brilliance of color and contrast in order to transport the viewer to a place only attainable in the world of art. A place where the colors of the world have no preconceived notions, only unspoken energy.
I am a self taught and self representing artist. My art studio is located near Beach Street in beautiful Downtown Daytona Beach, Fl.
I have canvas art through-out the United States, Australia, Canada and Germany.
