For as long as I can remember I’ve been either drawing, painting or taking photographs and creating artwork. It’s always seemed like the most natural thing for me to do. I guess I’m fortunate in that I’ve had people tell me how lucky I am to know what I want to do in life.
I kept up my creative endeavors by learning to play piano, clarinet and then guitar. The latter became another passion of mine. I played lead guitar in a high school rock band and was also strangely enough 1st chair bass clarinet player in the New Jersey state band way back in 1966. The bass clarinet is an awesome sounding instrument that I happened to find in the music room of the school I went to and asked if I could try it and fell in love with it’s sound.
After elementary and high school I studied art at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art College in Newark New Jersey. From there it was a easy hop over to Manhattan where I became a pro typesetter and set headlines for major ad agencies by hand and typositor machine.
My true love is to create art for others to enjoy.
