I am a self-taught photographer who has loved taking photos for years. It's always been important to me to capture moments and create memories for myself and to share with others.
My favorite subjects are my 9 year old daughter (who is developing an interest in photography!) and nature. God has created so much beauty in the world and I hope to be a blessing by sharing it through my art.
My love of flowers started as a child. My mother has always had a green thumb and she shared and passed her appreciation for all things floral on to me. Over the years, I've continued to learn from her as my interest in photography and flowers has grown and developed. From the moment a plant pokes through the ground in a garden to the growth of a stem and leaves to the arrival of a bud to the petals unfolding and blossoming...I love and want to capture it all.
Bright, beautiful colors in nature bring me great joy and my art features many colorful flowers - from many flowers in a scenic landscape to a close-up of a single flower. Pink, fuchsia, yellow, orange and purple are my favorites...but really, I love them all.
Although my main focus is botanical in nature, I also enjoy photographing butterflies, insects, animals and birds. I love that I am continually learning and growing as a photographer and have the opportunity to share the world's beauty with others.
