Beth Alyse Kantor has been painting for as long as she can
remember, developing from a 6 year old art student to an
award winning watercolorist.
Alyse grew up in central New Jersey where she was
encouraged by her family to pursue her insatiable desire
to create drawings and paintings in media ranging from
watercolor and acrylics to wood and collage.
By her early teenage years she had already accumulated
an impressive number of awards in amateur art shows, and
she has been participating in juried competitions ever since.
While Beth Alyse works mostly in watercolor, a medium
that she prefers for it's fluidity and transparency
as well as it's versatility, she has produced numerous
paintings in oils and acrylics as well.
The landscape has always remained her favorite subject
matter, with a special proclivity towards winter and
Nevertheless, Alyse enjoys painting portraits as well,
and she can often been found in the midst of producing
a portrait of a family, a child, a house or a favorite pet.
Beth Alyse graduated from Princeton University in 1998 with a
degree in art history and fine art.
She is currently represented by several east coast galleries,
and has participated in group and juried shows in such
prestigious settings as the Forbes Galleries in New York,
the John Pence Gallery in San Francisco, and the National
Arts Club and the Salamagundi Club in New York City.
She has been recognized for her artwork with both awards
and publications, and has had work featured in The Artist's
Magazine, American Artist, Watercolor Magazine, and Jersey Shore
