Betty Pimm has studied with fine art teachers in US and Italy.   She is a prolific artist who works in several mediums but prefers oil for versatility of use and look of the finished painting.   She has served as president of The Sugar Land Area Artists for two years and president of Lone Star Art Guild in 2008/09.   She is still active in both organizations.   Artist Statement 'Once I block in my composition I take liberties to paint what I see and feel.   My goal is to have each piece of work I create, touch others as it has touched me'

Artist Betty J Pimm Tuscan Collection Featured At Sugar Land Municipal Airport

Sugar Land, TX - September 21st, 2011

Sugar Land Municipal Airport is showcasing local artist work, featuring Barga, Italy. Some of the paintings were done on site, the American Artists did a show in Barga, Italy in 2010. This beautiful town is on a mountain near Lucca and Pisa, the town was built in the nine hundreds and have maintained the midevial structures from that time. The mountains are an artist dream. Betty will return there in 2012 with other artists to do another show and enjoy the hospitality of the Italian town. Come see more information about Barga. The artwork is showcased at the entrance to the lovely airport facility September 1 through October 30,2011. Visitors are welcome any time. There are 15 pieces of oil on canvas artwork in various sizes and more information about Barga.
