What I know about painting I found by observation and reading many, many books! Although I have had no formal art education, I have attended a couple of workshops. One with Tom Browning and another with Kevin MacPherson. I paint anything that interests me and particularly enjoy doing people. Sometimes I paint outdoors and at other times I glean material from my own photos. I strive always to do better!
My other artistic pursuit is in music. I am the assistant organist at our Presbyterian Church and was once a contralto soloist. Among my six children there are two photographers, one sculptress, one guitar/band member, one landscape gardener, and one computer whiz. The artistic muse is in all of us, it seems. We call it good company! :o)
