After graduating Greenwich Central High School, I began my formal training at the Junior College of Albany, now Sage Colleges. This two year college provided experience in technique and applications in a variety of mediums used in the visual arts. (drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, art history etc.)
I continued my studies at the State University of New York at Purchase where I concentrated in printmaking. (silkscreen, lithography,woodcut and etching)
Throughout the years I have worked in several mediums and have come to enjoy the challenge of pastels. My work, I describe, as a traditional application in landscape, still life, portraiture and commissioned work. I am very much attracted to the impressionist style and love the painterly effect that can be rendered in pastels.
