Bill Leavell's figurative artwork captures the human spirit in touching original graphite images.
He studied at the University at West Georgia, in Carrollton, GA where he majored in Fine Art Education with a concentration in painting & sculpture. He received his degree in Visual Communication from the Art Institute of Atlanta moving into the realm of Graphic Design and the Visual arts.
Some of his most significant accomplishments include: fourteen years as Creative Director for Belk Department stores, successfully creating print advertising graphics, and fashion illustrations that helped to shape the product branding of the big box chain. His duties also included photography direction during photo shoots and model management. Bill was also Executive Administrator for DeKalb County Government and Executive Director of the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center.
For twenty-two years he has owned and operated Leavellgraphis, a graphic design company, with top clients such as Coca Cola, Bronner Brothers, The Diamond Warehouse, Rich’s Department Stores (Federated Inc.) and several others.
He is also the CEO of Aunt Duck’s World Famous Cheese Straws, a family operated business established in 1922 producing the incredibly delicious southern favorite delicacy.
