About Bob Mulligan

I'm an old timey photographer and still enjoy shooting. Started out in a darkroom for a large news photo organization and soon I was actually shooting for them. So I learned my stuff first as a news photographer, now called a photo journalist, and from there became a commercial photographer. I have photographed everything form machined parts on a table to weddings, portraits, and presidents. Because the years are slowing me down I feed my creative instincts on local events near me and also enjoy photographing flowers in my kitchen table studio.

I used to fuss when others printed my photos because I was quite good in the chemical darkroom. Now I have to keep up with the digital age and am doing OK while keeping my hands dry. I used to be fussy about keeping detail in the shadows. Now, in this digital age, I am fussy about keeping detail in the highlights. That is the nature of the two beasts.

What is the most difficult photo to shoot? Portraits. What is the best picture I ever shot? The next one!
