Bonnie finds inspiration for her painting, writing, and photography amidst the gentle foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Her vision, to share a unique angle of perception seeking the elusive beauty and quiet wisdom that permeates creation and the human spirit, is translated through ethereal brushstrokes and a hint of mystery in her style.
Bonnie was driven with an artistic passion from an early age. Every spare moment was filled with sketching, painting, writing, and music. It was her desire to see beyond what was directly tangible and obvious that pushed her to look more deeply and seek to understand and share the origin of love, beauty, and truth. Her practical nature completed a degree in Advertising and Design, with rigorous study under teacher and mentor Bill Shirley. She then built her own successful graphics business, specializing in logo and trademark design, in Northern Virginia. Her romantic nature chose to live the life of a fine artist, marry sculptor and painter Tomas Fernandez, and move to the country.
Bonnie's paintings have found their way into many private collections worldwide. She has shown her work and lectured in Washington DC, and has received numerous awards for her works, particularly her miniature watercolor landscapes. Her days currently combine sessions of photography, sketching, painting, teaching, gardening, and writing a fantasy novel and screenplay.
Bonnie lives with Tomas, their four children, and their many animals in the beautiful oasis they call Archangel Haven Farm.
