I have explored many different media over the 35 years of developing my craft. I've worked in printmaking, painting, drawing, sculpture, clay, contemporary furniture, steel, and digital and 35mm photography. I received my MFA from Otis/Parson's School of Design in Los Angeles in 1983 and have shown in galleries and exhibitions . For the past ten plus years I have made a living creating contemporary furniture with Pamela Holmes while still completing other works at the same time. The furniture Pamela and I produce is sculptural in nature and uses reclaimed wood, concrete, and steel.
My art is in direct correlation with nature and I attempt to create a hologram of the spirit of my subject matter. My fascination with the figure and model has provided an unlimited resource for my artwork and continues to inspire me immensely.
I've also continued to create clay sculpture in the form of reliefs and 3D. I also use photographs as a tool for creating my imagery. I will do commissions from photographs.
