Artist Calvin Jefferson was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas.He found out at a very early age that he had an eye for art.He won numerous awards growing up.After leaving the United States Navy with a broad scope of the world in his artistic mind. Calvin was excepted into the University of Arkansas at Little Rock majoring in Fine Arts.While at the University he was recognized as the student that sent an oil painting of former President William Jefferson Clinton to the Whitehouse as an inaugural gift. He also did a portrait of the rapper Calvin Broadus aka Snoop Dogg entitled 'Endangered Species' which is currenty in the University's permanent art collection. His portrait of Clinton is currently in the William J Clinton presidenial library permanent art collection. Calvin wants to change the world one painting at a time. He feels that we loose our childhood innocence and he wants to restore that through his dreamy childhood characters, celebrities and stars that every child adores.
