I'm Carol Megivern and years ago I loved to paint, but then raising a family became my priority. The kids have gone off to college, now. {a little tear rolls down my cheek} But, I have found the paintbrush again to fill that void.
I'm a self-taught artist, who grew up in Upstate New York and now reside on the east coast of Florida. I draw and paint what I see and what I feel from these two very diverse locations. My art consist of a variety of themes and mediums. My love for nature has spilled over into my love for painting! I truly believe, 'You have to enjoy what you do, and do what you love!' And I love to create, using mostly acrylics. But I love to go out of my comfort zone and will use whatever medium is near at hand when inspiration hits.
Now that the kids have both gone off to college, I've picked up my paintbrush and have become totally absorbed into painting! I also like to paint gnomes and fairies that I collect and put out in the yard, trees and under bushes. And sewing, knitting, gardening and working with house plants are some more favorites that I enjoy.
