Carole Swindall Poole graduated from Auburn University with a BS degree in Art Education and then moved to Georgia where she and her husband have raised their five children. She has worked in graphic design and in the public school system as well as teaching in a number of art venues. She works in watercolor and acrylics and expresses herself in a traditional, realistic style. She uses the play of sunlight and shadows in her work which she feels is the secret to a good painting.
