Branches Lines and Wrinkles

Painting is like nourishment or exercise, I feel off if I go too long without. Hungery, Weak, scattered, exhausted~ sometimes that is expressed in the lines. The work remind me of what I love about wax and cloth, roots, tangles and knots of the inner tendrils of a thought, intimacy and tenderness. Natural things that were once green and alive, now dried, crisp and brown are extremely interesting too. Hard against soft, crisp against fuzzy, the bringing together of extremes on once surface to become painting, a moment captured in time.
